Hi I’m Ryan and this is Screen Rant’s featured news of the day.

Early fan reactions after the New York Premiere of Batman vs. Superman were overwhelmingly positive.

Now, reviews from critics are emerging and they’re… to put it lightly… not as good.

On Rotten Tomatoes - the movie is currently hovering around a 40% rating and is getting absolutely demolished by most of the critics that have reviewed it so far.

Rene Rodriguez of the Miami Herald said that “In Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel duke it out and the audience loses.”
Helen O’Hara from GQ - wrote “This is a film so bad it wears you down and makes you wonder if there was ever such a thing as a hero anyway”
And Lou Lumenick from the New York Post “ this epic has way too much of everything, including CGI and Oscar winners up the wazoo.”
It’s never a good sign when a critic uses the word “wazoo” in an review.




Even the most positive reviews of the bunch tend to stress that the film isn’t perfect.

Regardless of the critics, the movie is still likely to be a financial success, as it recently broke Fandango’s list of top pre-selling superhero movies- but if everyone ends up disliking it, it could mean reevaluating the best ways to move forward with the DC Universe.
